Metal Alloy Aluminum Billiard Cue
The cue stick used to strike the cue ball in a game of pool is the most important for a game of pool, billiards or snooker. You can’t really do without one because it is an intrinsic part of the game. Over the years several materials have been used to make cue sticks but the most evolved and the popular types used is a metal alloy aluminum billiard cue. There are basically two kinds of cue sticks used – one that us made of one single continuous piece and tapers off towards the end of the cue, and the other which is made of two pieces – a broad and heavy cue butt and a smaller piece called the shaft.
Pool players prefer different kinds of cues choosing them in different materials according to their playing style. Most would tell you that using different materials can transform the cue from a plain stick to a magic wand! Well, that statement may come out of enthusiasm or sheer love of the game, but there is some truth in it.
Cues are typically made of wood or other materials like graphite or aluminium. Though wood has a huge fan following, a metal alloy aluminum billiard cue has a sizeable group of faithful followers too. Some argue that Aluminum is not suited for pool cues at all because it does nothing for your balance and equilibrium as against wood cues that are offer steadiness. They say, its like trying to fish with a club!
But considering that Aluminum is lightweight and long lasting, that argument doesn’t really hold water. There are several places to get an Aluminum cue but do check out retail discounts at several stores before when you go shopping. Depending on the design and material used, a cue can be a collectible and not just something you kick balls with.
